Mori started his Risk Management career with Johnson & Higgins (now Marsh & McLennan) Global Risk Management Services in Manhattan, NY in 1988 as an Actuarial Consultant. His primary focus included Risk-based Loss Forecasting, Reserving and Pricing for self-insured Fortune 100 entities, particularly Captives domiciled in Vermont, Hawaii, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, and Barbados. He continued his Actuarial Consulting career with Tillinghast Tower Perrin, Mercer, and Cigna before moving to banking risk management and financial reinsurance.
He joined Citibank in 1993 as an Analytics Officer in the Policy and Strategy Analysis Group with a focus in Enterprise Risk Management and Credit Risk. He continued his career with Advanta Bank, Washington Mutual Bank, Bank of Hawaii, and Wells Fargo Bank in the areas of Credit Risk, Portfolio Strategy, Market Risk, Economic Capital and Basel Governance, and Mortgage Reinsurance Captives domiciled in Hawaii.
He left the industry in 2008 to start Buffalo Analytics, and Enterprise Risk Management Academy to create a globally competitive work force in Enterprise Risk Management practice by mentoring and training students at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he had completed his education in Math, Econ, and Finance in Dec 1986.
He offers his analytics consulting expertise to Banking, Insurance, and Marketing CRM institutions while utilizing his students, interns, and analysts to perform some of the tasks. By doing so, his students receive hands-on training and internships while his clients receive superior analytics services at very reasonable low fees, and quick turn-arounds.
